Children’s Mental Health Week 2022

We are once again supporting Children’s Mental Health Week.

This year’s theme is Growing Together, physical growth is easy to see but emotional growth takes times and is not always straightforward.

Place2be have information for parents and carers to support children from top tips to guidance around everyday issues parents face.

We will always help and support our gymnasts to grow, in the gym this can mean working through a new skill, or working on a mental block.

If you ever have any questions, we have two welfare officers who can provide help and advice.

Happy New Year

As we welcome in a new year we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who continues to support our club.

We have a great team of coaches and many volunteers who we depend on to run classes. We also have a fantastic team of sport leaders and young helpers who help in all the classes. Thank you to you all.

Thank you to the fundraising team who have got us off to a brilliant start raising over £10,000 for our 50k for 50 years campaign. They’ll have lots more activities 2022 so we can get closer to our target to install pits in the gym.

We have a number of parents in the gym who help us out, from moving equipment to fixing lights – it’s all appreciated.

This year we sadly lost Mr Buckley who had been our leader for so long. We will always be grateful to him for his expertise and wisdom.

It has been great to join forces with Buckley Boys Gymnastics this year who have a great team and we look forward to seeing more of the boys at Gwernaffield.

Thank you to all our gym parents who have adapted to all the changes we have made due to Covid and finally thank you to all our of gymnasts who have been brilliant as ever.

We’re looking forward to a new year and what it will bring for our club.

Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year.

Fundraising total reaches £10,648

Thanks to the success of Club Champs last month and Christmas film night we have tipped the fundraising total over £10,000 for our 50k for 50 years campaign.

Thanks to coach Becca and members of the fundraising team who have helped us to achieve this amazing amount in a short space of time.
