Advanced class gymnast Aiyla has just returned from a week’s training with the Welsh Development Squad at a summer camp in Cardiff.
The week culminated with a performance presentation and Aiyla earned herself the award of ‘most improved’.

Special guests join gym camp
Some special guests joined our summer camp this week.
Coaching director Stan ran the camp alongside Italian coach Walter Consonni and gymnastic consultant John Pirrie, while coach Ceri was back in the gym.
We also hosted four gymnasts visiting from Twisters Gymnastics Club in Derry with coach Terri.
A big thank you to parents Steve and Rowan Blanchard for hosting some of the gymnasts and taking them to see the sights.
And thanks to our coaches and young leaders for giving up their free time to help.

Coaches and adult class gymnasts compete
Good luck: Coaches and adult gym members competing this weekend
Adult gym members and coaches are competing at the Adult Gymnastics British Championships over the weekend.
A special good luck to coach Becca who competes for the first time ever and only took up gymnastics last September.
The competition takes place at Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Shropshire on Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets are available online from British Gymnastics but they can also be bought on the day if anyone wants to go along.
All classes at Gwernaffield and Buckley are cancelled on Saturday to allow coaches to compete.

Class changes
This weekend we’re running our annual Summer Invitational Competition.
It runs all day on Saturday and Sunday with over 300 gymnasts competing.
Any cake donations or raffle prizes would be most welcome and can be passed to coaches.
Intermediate and advanced classes have been cancelled but will be rescheduled.
Wishing all our gymnasts good luck.
