We are pleased to let you know that it is all systems go for moving to our own facility in Gwernaffield, writes chairwoman Liz Morris.
The lease has been signed and, assuming all repairs and works are completed, we are looking to move/open in April.
We will be holding a session for all parents/carers where we will answer any questions you may have and provide you with information regarding the move. Further details of the date and time to follow.
The unit is over 30 years old and, whilst it is structurally sound, there is a lot of cleaning, painting, joinery, floor laying, and plumbing to name a few jobs to get it fit for purpose.
We are looking to commence the big clean/repair in a couple of weeks and we would like to prepare a rota for those of you who can physically help – so get in touch.
If you do not have the time to help, could you or anyone you know be able to donate cleaning materials, gloves, white paint, brushes etc?
If any of you work for a company who have a community fund or who might be able to help with donating products such as paint, cleaning materials etc, please could you make enquiries, or get in touch with contact information for us to ask.
THE LESS WE SPEND ON THESE MATERIALS, THE MORE WE HAVE TO SPEND ON GYM EQUIPMENT.
We continue our fundraising in order to purchase further equipment that we need so, if you have any ideas, please put them forward to our fundraising committee.
If you have given us your details previously, then we have them on file. If you are unsure or if your circumstances have changed and you are now able/unable to help please, contact us ASAP as we have a lot of work to do to get the gym up and running.
We will keep you updated with the progress that is being made and as we get nearer to April.
