Welsh Classic Challenge results

A great weekend for the club at the Welsh Classic Challenge finals in Cardiff at the Sport Wales National Centre.

Emilia & Coach Shelley

Gymnast Emilia competed on Saturday in the Copper 12+ years with the North area team.

She received 4th on beam, 4th on bars, 6th on floor, 2nd overall and silver with her team.

Sundays competition was Maggie and Kacey.

In the Zinc 9 years, Maggie came 6th on Vault.
Her North area team placed 3rd overall.

Kacey competed in the Copper 10-11 years, and came
6th on Vault, 4th on Bar and 5th on Beam
Her North area team placed 2nd overall.

Well done girls to all the girls on their performances. The club is very proud.

New qualification for coaches

Well done to our Level 1 coaches who have passed their Level 2 qualification.

Kristy, Milly and Niamh have been working towards their Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Level 2 qualification over the last few months and have been assessed and all passed.

The level 2 qualification is an in depth course covering all aspects of coaching gymnasts, it concentrates on skills, strength and conditioning plus planning sessions, all with the focus on the gymnast.

Well done to our coaches and a big thanks to all the gymnasts who helped out throughout the course and for the assessment.

Fundraising total update

We have a new total for our 50k for 50 years campaign!

We’ve had parent viewing days, our Summer Buckley Invitational Competition, clothing collections and the Grand Prize draw which have all made our new total.
