Totalizer stands at £15,000
The fundraising total has reached £15,000.
A big thank you to all the parents and gymnasts who have helped us achieve this amazing total to date, says club chair Liz Morris.
And we are still hoping that with the bag packing on Saturday and Bonus Ball (on sale at the gym also on Saturday) this will increase when we can announce our year-end total.
A total of 22 gymnasts from the development and pre advanced classes competed in the North Area Beginners Competition on Sunday at Coleg Llandrillo, Rhos on Sea, writes head coach Ceri Sass.
There were over 180 gymnasts competing from seven clubs across north Wales and Buckley gymnasts were awarded many individual apparatus and overall medals.
The club had three overall champions:
Maddy Morris – Aged 14+ Beginners
Sophie Davies – Aged 8-9 Beginners
Sasha Johnson – Aged 6-7 Beginners
The coaches are very proud of all the girls. They represented the club fantastically and it was great that their hard work in the sessions paid off.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday for the film night.
We had almost 40 children dressed in onesies with their pillows and cushions huddled together in Hawkesbury Community Centre in Buckley.
Miracle on 34th Street was our film – coach Ceri’s favourite Christmas film!
Lots of popcorn and drinks, and the night finished off with dancing, games and some gym moves!
This was a fundraising event for our new gym appeal and we are pleased to add £71 to our fund.
Congratulations to Helen, Jo and Dave after becoming UK CC Women’s Artistic Level 1 coaches.
Helen’s daughter, Cara, is in Danielle’s development class; Jo’s daughter, Sophie, is in Bob’s development class; and Dave’s daughter, Hannah, is in the intermediate class.
They have been helping in gym classes since January and took their qualification last week.
Well done and thanks to them for giving up their time to help our club.
