Five of our Advanced class gymnasts travelled to Derry in Northern Ireland to take part in a training camp at Twisters Gymnastics club.
Abi, Amelia, Bella, Elise and Isabella flew out on Thursday 25 May to stay with host families, and were accompanied by coaching director Stan Buckley and head coach Ceri Sass.
The girls trained in the day and were treated to days out like go-karting, bowling and BBQs.
The Maiden City Cup competition was held on Sunday 28 May and our girls’ team came first as well as gaining a number of medals and rosettes for their individual apparatus.
They flew home on Tuesday, excited and happy to bring back a trophy for the club.
A big thank you Twisters, the host families and our coaches for giving up their time to give the girls a great experience.

Coach Becca and Martyn Teire
Special thanks to Martyn Teire for all his efforts with the Easter party which raised £350 for new equipment for both gyms at Buckley and Gwernaffield.
