This weekend some of our Competition Squad girls competed at Deeside Gymnastics Academy in this year’s North Area Classic Challenge.

Zinc 10/11y Gwennan 2nd on Floor Laci 6th on Floor
Zinc 12y+ Erin 3rd on vault, 4th on beam
Day 2 :
Lola Maggie, Evie, Bethan & Daisy
Pre-Zinc Lola 3rd on Vault, 2nd on Bar, 2nd on Beam, 1st on Floor, 2nd Overall
Zinc 9 yrs Maggie 6th on Bar, 4th on Beam, 5th Overall Daisy 2nd on Vault, 2nd on Bar Evie 6th on Floor Maggie, Daisy, Evie & Bethan also placed 3rd as a team.

This weekend five of our adult gymnasts competed at the Adult British Championships 2022 at Lilleshall National Sports Centre.
The competition is held over two days with Becca, Bethan, Tara, Hannah and Olivia entering as a team and competing individually in different categories.
Day 1 Bethan competed in the Novice Over 30’s Becca competed in the Introductory Over 45’s Tara competed in the Novice Over 18s
Tara won overall and is the Novice Over 18s champion
Day 2 Hannah competed in the Pro Over 45’s Olivia competed in the Pro Over 18s
Hannah was 2nd overall
The Buckley Team won Silver.
Well done to the whole team – what a great weekend.
Well done to Coach Ben who has passed his Men’s Artistic Gymnastics coaching qualification.
Ben is a great asset to the club and a brilliant role model for the boys he helps to coach.
As well as theory work, Ben has been assessed on the many skills a coach needs, from planning a session to leading warm ups, working on skills and running flexibility and conditioning sessions.
