This weekend 10 of our adult gymnasts competed in the Adult Gymnastics British Championships 2024.

Our adult gymnasts train two hours weekly and have been preparing for this year’s competition over the last few months.

Some of the gymnasts are brand new to competing, some have competed in this competition in previous years

Saturday’s competition started with the Novice 18+ category for Taija, Eleri, Lottie and Amber. It was a category with 54 gymnasts.

Eleri came 5th on vault, Taija came 2nd on vault and Amber came 1st also on vault.

Well done to them all.

Becca in the Introductory 40+ category was up against 12 gymnasts and came 4th on beam and 7th overall- Well done Becca!

Saturday afternoon was Emilia in the Intermediate 18years + with a total of 53 gymnasts competing, Emilia came 4th overall with a 2nd on beam. A great result for Emilia.

It was Richie’s first time competing in the Men’s Artistic Gymnastics, Novice over 30 category and came 12th overall, Richie competed parallel bars, horizontal bar, floor, and vault- our first adult male competitor in the club- well done Richie!

Sunday’s competition started with coach Bethan, as well as coaching our adult gymnasts, Bethan has been training herself to compete in the Novice 30+ category. Bethan came 10 overall.

Ceri, our coaching director competed in the Novice 40+ category and was the all around champion taking the gold medal, with 1st place on floor and beam and 3rd place on vault and bars- a great achievement for Ceri and the club.

The weekend finished off with our Pro 40+ gymnast Hannah,.

Hannah has competed around the world this year and was back in the adult championships, Hannah came 5th overall. She also competed with her acro team who came 3rd overall.

To complete the day our Buckley Belles won team gold!
