Summer competitions

Over the last three weekends we have held a beach party competition with the General class gymnasts, our annual summer-themed invitational competition for gymnasts from all over North Wales, and our gymnasts have travelled to Bangor Gymnastics Club for a north area competition.

We’ve loved seeing our gymnasts compete and for some it was their first experience in a gymnastics competition.

They did so well taking home numerous ribbons and medals, plus special award certificates and poster prizes.

As a community club it’s a great opportunity to see more of our gymnasts’ families and they can see what their gymnasts have been working towards in classes.

Well done to all our General gymnasts – we’re very proud of you all.

The beach party competition for General class gymnasts included classes 1-5 who train 1-1.5 hours per week at the Gwernaffield gym.

A special thank you to the coaches for helping and supporting the gymnasts in their training and competitions.

Saturday Sunday 29-30 June

We hosted 350 gymnasts for our annual invitational competition last weekend from clubs all around North Wales.

Well done to all the gymnasts who competed – we loved having you.

A big thank you to our parents for volunteering their time and donations of goodies for our refreshment stall.

Thanks to Adult gymnasts who volunteered over the weekends – you were such a great help.

Thank you Gym Central for spending the weekend with us, selling their leotards and kit.

A mention and thank you to Tesco for their donations of refreshments for both weekends.

Sunday 7 July

On Sunday 7 July our Competition Recreation gymnasts competed in the Annette Brown North 2024 national competition.

So many ribbons, medals, and trophies for our girls – well done to them all.

The club also won the Club of the Competition award too.

A final thanks to our judges for giving up their precious weekends to represent our club.
