By Becca and the club’s fundraising team
Dear Gymnast, It’s nearly time to break up for your school summer holidays and you will have six weeks to spend more time practising your gymnastics.
Now is the perfect time to put that extra work in and perfect the range and conditioning you’ve been working on.
It’s also time you could think about helping the club towards our next fundraising goal of raising £13,000 so that we can buy landing pads to go around all our new equipment.
To help, please join in Buckley Girls Gymnastics Bob a Job.
Many of your parents will be familiar with Bob a Job. What we want you to do is ask your family and friends if you can do a job for them for a small amount of payment in return.
Remember, make sure your parents know what you are doing, where you are, and that you have permission from them at all times.
Here are some ideas:
- set up a car wash in your street for the day
- weed the flower beds (make sure you know which are the weeds)
- fold the washing
- do the washing up
- tidy out your draws and cupboards and do a car boot sale of your old clothes
We want you to record what you did on the form we gave you (or download here) and, if possible, post a photo on the Buckley Girls GC Parents Page on Facebook (closed group) so we can see what you’re getting up to.
By the end of the summer we should have lots of photos of helpful gymnasts and some extra money in the fundraising pot!
There will be a prize for the most unusual Bob a Job.
We hope you have a lovely summer and that you won’t miss too many gym sessions. We’ll still be here coaching.
