The Buckley Girls’ Gymnastics fund raising garage sale on Saturday 12 September is fast approaching, writes the fund raising committee. And the time has come for you to bring to the gym all those items you’ve been putting to one side during the summer.
No clothing please. But we would like household, garden or garage items – books, toys, ornaments, baby equipment, DVDs and CDs ( no video tapes please), crockery, bric-a-brac, unwanted gifts, jewellery, plants, tools, small electrical appliances – pretty much anything you’d take to a good quality charity shop.
Homemade jams, chutneys, fruit/veg straight from the garden on the sale day will be welcome too.
Please bring your items to the gym on Saturday 22 or Saturday 29 August so we can take them to Viv and Don in Llanarmon yn Ial where the garage sale will be held.
The sale itself will run from 9am-2pm on Saturday 12 September. It will be under cover, so don’t worry if it’s a wet day, and if you’d like to stay around for lunch, Llanarmon has a community-run shop which sells drinks and snacks, and a community-run pub, The Raven, which will be open for lunch (both of which recently received a visit from the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall, and both also featured recently on BBC Breakfast).
Directions: Take the A494 Ruthin road out of Mold and, after passing through Llanferres (Druid Inn on right), take the next left turn on the B5430 signposted Llanarmon yn Ial. Proceed for approximately two miles then turn right on the B5431 signposted Llanarmon yn Ial 1/4 mile. Upon entering the village follow the signs.
