Buckley Gymnastics Club

Today is International Women’s Day where we celebrate all things women and how we can create change and awareness.

We’ve asked our club captain and coach, Bella which women inspire her.

Here’s what she said:

I have lots of women that inspire me everyday, two celebrities that I look up to are Emma Watson for what she has done for women’s rights and Greta Thunberg for the actions she has taken in educating people about the effects of climate change.

I look up to my coaches Danielle and Betty. Danielle is inspirational to me because of how determined she is and how she doesn’t let anything stop her, and Betty because she is very motivated and strong mentally and physically.

My number one inspiration is my Mum because she inspires me to work hard by leading by example and she doesn’t care what others think about her.

This year’s theme is Choose to Challenge– choose to challenge bias, choose to challenge stereotypes and choose to challenge equality.

Lets help our gymnasts choose to challenge.

We have lots of Zoom classes available over the half term break.

All classes can be booked and paid for through class4kids with all proceeds going to fundraising.

Our normal class timetable will continue for all club gymnasts. Half term classes are in addition.

We hope gymnasts will take part and really enjoy these classes.
