‘Great experience’ at GymFusion

Youth group
Well done to our girls who attended the British Gymnastics GymFusion event on Sunday.

Coaches Ceri and Helen have been working with the youth class for the last few months to perform at the event at The Lowry in Manchester.

In all, 11 girls attended; Megan, Morgan, Jenna, Jess, Maddy Rees and Maddy Morris, Puleng, Asheigh, Milly, Tina, and Katie.

They performed a six minute routine and were joined by 30 other clubs from around the UK.

Coach Helen said: “The girls were fantastic, the venue was amazing, the whole day such a great experience for our fabulous youth class and us coaches. We are so proud of you all. Thank you for a really great gym day.”

New gym Q&A session

We will be holding a parent information session in relation to the new gym this Saturday at Buckley Leisure Centre between 10am-1pm, writes the management committee.

We will answer as many questions as we can but we will not be able to give any details about the new timetable which we are still working on.

If we are unable to answer on the day, we will do our best to answer them as soon as possible.

We have timed this session to make sure we are available to all parents/carers who are dropping off or collecting their children at all classes.

There will be tea and coffee and cakes on sale. (If anyone would like to donate cakes, they will be gratefully received).

Many thanks. We look forward to seeing you there.

This was their first grades competition against over 50 girls and, not only did they pass, they were either commended or received a distinction.

Olivia and Ava passed with a commended with Ava in 6th place overall.

Rosie passed with a distinction, placing 2nd on range and conditioning, 3rd on bars and 5th place overall, qualifying for the Welsh grade 6 finals in Cardiff.

Macey was greatly missed yesterday as she was unable to compete with her teammates due to injury. We wish her a speedy recovery.
