Celebrate Our Amazing Volunteers!

We’re incredibly fortunate to have such dedicated volunteers at our club.

Last week was Volunteer week 2025 where we got to celebrate all of our volunteers, and thank them for what they do.

Their contributions are vital, covering a wide range of roles from coaching, safeguarding and wellbeing to class helpers, event support, and judging.

Even a small commitment can make a big difference!

If you’re interested in helping out, perhaps with refreshments at an event or as a parent helper, please let us know. We’ll arrange a DBS check for anyone helping, and the club will cover the cost. just email us at: contact.buckleygym@gmail.com

Lauren and Zara Boost Their Qualifications

Well done to Lauren and Zara who passed their Level 2 Women’s Artistic Gymnastics assessment.

Both Lauren and Zara have been coaching for a while and already have their level 1 qualifications.

Thank you to Joy for coming to assess our coaches and thank you to Enfys, Daisy, Laura and Gracie for their help.

International Volunteer Day 2024

Today marks International Volunteer day 2024.

We have many volunteers in the club that go above and beyond to help the club run week to week.

Coaches – run and supporting sessions

Fundraising – help to plan and organise events and help on the day of events

Judges– We can’t run competitions without judges and we can go to competitions without sending a judge.

Adult helpers- These are parents who stay for the class. They are DBS checked and work alongside the coaches.

Sport leaders- Sport leaders are vital in all classes, they have taken the official Welsh Gymnastics course and can lead stations and support coaches in class.

Safeguarding and Wellbeing officers– our safeguarding and wellbeing officers are available anytime, they stay up to date with courses and are here for support to gymnasts, parents and coaches.

Our volunteers log their hours each week using the app Vol hours

This week we hit 1210 hours

Class enquiries for September 2024

UPDATE – THESE CLASSES ARE NOW FULLY BOOKED, The next term will be after the October half term break, please look out for our advert.

Our next Recreational Gymnastics classes will be in September when the school term starts.

We have classes at Buckley Leisure Centre on Saturday mornings for children aged 5 years up.

Qualified coaching run these fun, easy, beginners classes which are a great introduction to gymnastics.

Classes are 45 minutes long, and there’s three class times to choose from; 9-9.45am, 9.45-10.30am and 10.30-11.15am.

Classes are term time only.

A six week term is £30 (£5.00 per session – some terms may be longer as we follow school term times)

We don’t run a waiting list at the club as our new gymnasts can join these classes.

Please note – if a class is fully booked it will offer a place on the waiting list – the waiting list only counts for that term, it does not carry over – Please book a place in the following term when it restarts
