Odd socks help fight against bullying

Odd Socks campaign poster

This year British Gymnastics are supporting the Anti Bullying Alliance’s Anti Bullying Week (11-16 November) and we’re getting involved to celebrate our differences, writes welfare officer Alison.

This year’s message is ‘Change starts with us’ and we want to use this opportunity to highlight that our club does not tolerate bullying.

To support the campaign we are holding an Odd Sock Week in gym classes to celebrate what makes us all unique.

The Anti Bullying Alliance says the event is designed to be fun and an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality – and any old odd socks will do!

Odd Socks Day is actually on Tuesday but we’re running this event from Monday to Saturday so more of our classes can take part and highlight our efforts against bullying.

Reminder: There will not be any classes at Buckley or Gwernaffield gyms on Bonfire night. All parents should have already been notified in advance.  Thanks
