Design a leotard competition

Do you fancy designing your own leotard?

On Monday 4 May 2020, Welsh Gymnastics are launching their Design a Leotard Competition.

Entries are free of charge but limited to one entry per person. Only current members of Welsh/British Gymnastics can enter this competition.

Prizes:

1st Place: The Winner will win a visit to the Milano Factory where they will see their winning leotard being made (once the country’s restrictions have been lifted)

2nd Place: A leotard from the Milano range

3rd Place: A leotard from the Milano range

Deadline for entries:

Friday 15 May 2020 at 5pm

How to enter:

  • Download the WG leotard template from our social media platforms
  • Be creative with your design
  • Email your competition entry to Cope@WelshGymnastics.org

Virtual classes timetable

LaptopOur coaches have been working hard behind the scenes to bring our gymnasts a new webcam-based timetable using video conferencing tool, Zoom.

It allows a number of people to ‘meet’ online and is security protected to give peace of mind.

Each class will last around 30 minutes and will be led by a coach.

We would love class members to take part in the sessions if possible.  Classes are around the same time as normal gym sessions.

Defibrillator session postponed

defib We are sorry to say our planned defibrillator training session on 29 March has been cancelled but we are hoping to reschedule later on in the year.

Coach Becca writes: “We were planning to run a family CPR and defibrillator training day on Sunday 29 March supported by Keep the Beats.

“This was to offer training to our local community and also to raise money towards a defibrillator at Buckley Girls Gymnastics Club in Gwernaffield.

“We will be running the day later in the year but we need to get a defibrillator as soon as possible.”

Reducing the risk

We recommend following the information on the Public Health Wales website regarding its coronavirus action plan.

It has some specific advice for parents and carers.

British Gymnastics is also providing regular updates.

All our classes are on this weekend as normal and we’ll be encouraging additional handwashing.
