Garage sale: Unwanted items sought

Garage sale signA garage sale is being held later this summer with proceeds to Buckley Girls Gymnastics Club and Llanarmon yn Ial Playground Revamp – so here’s your chance to get rid of your unwanted items and help boost our new gym appeal.

We’re asking you to put aside suitable items and we will let you know closer to the time where they can be dropped off ahead of the sale in September  at Llanarmon yn Ial, near Mold.

WANTED

Household, garden or garage items: Books, toys, ornaments, baby equipment, DVDs and CDs, crockery, bric-a-brac, jewellery, plants, tools, unwanted gifts, small electrical appliances.

Home made jams, chutneys, fruit/veg straight out of your garden will be welcome too.

Keen gardeners, if you’re splitting plants during the summer you may wish to pot up and label some for the sale.

Note. No clothing please.

Summer fayre grand total

Our summer fayre on Sunday 14 June raised a total of £1,029.78, taking us closer to our target of £25,000, writes fundraising committee member Alison Bourne. We still need your help though:

  • There are cakes left over from the fayre so we’re having a cake sale this Saturday, 20 June, between 9.30am and 1pm.
  • We’re bag packing in Asda, Queensferry, on 27 June between 10.30am and 4.30pm. We’d love girls from all classes to join us.

We’re hoping to have more events throughout the year so if you can help and want to get involved please let us know.

Bag packing

After a fabulous day yesterday, our next fundraising event is coming up fast, writes fundraising committee member and coach, Becca Bailey.

We have slots to Bag Pack at Asda Queensferry from 10.30 am until 4.30pm on Saturday 27 June.

Children have to be aged 8 or over and accompanied by a parent at the till to do the bag packing but we have permission for a couple of under 8s to collect with buckets at the entrance.  We will be able to collect at 6 tills at any time.

Please can everyone sign up for a 1 hour slot.  This is a great opportunity to highlight our fundraising to the wider community. Please join in if you can.

I’ll be in the gym from 9am-1pm next Saturday so please let me know which slot you can cover.
