We would like to welcome Ailsa and Trina as our new welfare officers at the club.
Ailsa is mum to gymnast Gwennan who in trains the Competitive Squad. She has been training at Buckley for 6 years since she started at the Preschool class.

Ailsa has been a civil servant for 20 years. Until recently, she was a leader with Girlguiding, running a Rainbow unit for 14 years.
“I wanted to take on the role of welfare officer to give time back to the club who have given so much time and opportunity to Gwennan,” she said.
“I would like to contribute to ensuring that the club continues to be a happy and safe environment for all our gymnasts to train.”
Trina is mum to Quincy who has been with the club for 18 months and trains in the General 1 Boys class.

Trina says: “Quincy began gymnastics at 5 and loved throwing himself on a mat every Saturday.
“I asked to be considered as a welfare officer when the opportunity arose to give back to the club but also as it’s just an add on to the work I have been doing since 2005 as a solicitor working within child protection for local authorities in England and Wales. I am a former NSPCC counsellor”.
Welcome and thank you to our new welfare officers.
They are a great asset to the club and can be contacted if gymnasts, parents or coaches need them.
Welfare officer contact information can be found here on our website
Their information is also displayed in the gym.
